Note that we have made every effort to be accurate in the descriptions below; however, actual plan coverage is found in the vehicle service contract that will be sent to you. Eligibilty for a specific coverage plan depends on, but is not limited to, your vehicle make, model, year and curent mileage. Please contact us if you have any questions.
General Terms:
The vehicle service contract terms are expressed in both mileage and time.
- "New" car coverage begins on the agreement purchase date, not the vehicle in-service date. Expiration is measured in time from the service agreement purchase date and mileage from zero (0) miles, whichever occurs first.
- "Pre-Owned" coverage begins on the agreement purchase date, not the vehicle in-service date. Expiration is measured in time and mileage from the service agreement purchase date, whichever occurs first.
All pre-owned vehicle plans require a mandatory thirty (30) days and one thousand (1,000) mile waiting period before coverage begins. In some instances, the administrator may also required that your vehicle pass a vehicle inspection.
You must have your vehicle checked and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations based on your individual driving habits and climate conditions, as outlined in the the Owner's Manual, and verifiable receipts must be retained for any service work.
Coverage Section:
In the event of a breakdown of a part listed below, the administrator will pay for the reasonable cost to repair or replace the part, less any deductible, in accordance with the provisions contained in the Vehicle Service Contract.
Bronze Coverage:
- Engine: Cylinder block, cylinder head(s) and all internal lubricated parts contained within the engine including: pistons, piston rings, connecting rod bearings, crankshaft, crankshaft main bearings, camshaft, camshaft bearings, cam followers, timing chain or belt, timing gears, guides, tensioners, rocker arms, racker shaft, rocker bushings, cylinder head valves, valve guides, valve lifters, valve springs, valve seals, valve retainers, valve seats, push rods, water pump, oil pump and oil pump housing, harmonic balancer, oil pan, flywheel/flex plate, timing chain cover, intake and exhaust manifolds, valve covers, engine mounts, turbocharger/supercharger housing and all internal parts (factory-installed only), seals and gaskets.
- Transmission: (Automatice or standard) transmission case and all internal parts plus torque converter, vacuum modulator, electronic shift control unit, transmission cooler, transmission mounts, oil pan, seals and gaskets.
- Transfer case:
Transfer case and all internal parts, seals and gaskets.
- Drive Axle: (Front and rear) drive axle case, all internal parts contained within the drive axle, locking hubs, drive shafts, universal joints, constant velocity joints, axle bearings, four wheel drive actuator, differential cover, seals and gaskets.
- Cooling: Engine cooling fan and motor, fan clutch, belt tensioner, radiator, heater core, thermostat, blower motor and hot water valve.
Silver Coverage:
Includes items in the Bronze Coverage, plus the following:
- Steering: All internal parts contained within the steering box, rack and pinion gear, power steering pump, power steering hoses, steering knuckles, pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod ends and drag link, upper and lower steering column shafts and couplings (including internal tilt wheel mechanism), steering box and rack and pinion gear housings, seals and gaskets. Rear wheel steering: rear steering shaft and couplings, power cylinder and pump, electronic control unit/solenoid, phase control unit, stepper motor, steering box, control valve, rack, tie rod ends, seals and gaskets.
- Brakes: Master cylinder, power brake cylinder, vacuum assist booster, hydro boost, disc brake caliper, wheel cylinders, compensating valve, brake hydraulic lines and fittings, hydraulic control unit, seals and gaskets. The following ABS parts: electronic control processor, wheel speed sensors, hydraulic pump/motor assembly, pressure modulator valve/isolation dump valve, accumulator, seals and gaskets.
- Electrical: Alternator, voltage regulator, starter motor, starter solenoid and starter drive, engine compartment wiring harness, computerized timing control unit, electronic ignition module, crank angle sensor, knock sensor, ignition switch, ignition switch lock cylinder, fornt and rear window wiper motor, washer pump and switch, stop lamp switch, headlamp switch, turn signal switch, heater/AC blower speed switch, manual heater/AC control assembly and horns.
- Fuel Delivery: Fuel pump, fuel injection pump and injectors, vacuum pump, fuel tank, fuel tank sending unit, and metal fuel delivery lines
Gold Coverage:
Includes items in the Bronze and Silver Coverage, plus the following:
- Air Conditioning: Condenser, compressor, compressor clutch and pulley, AC lines and hoses, evaporator, idler pulley and idler pulley bearing, high/low compressor cutoff switch, expansion valve, pressure cycling switch, seals and gaskets. The following parts (if they are required in connection with the repair of a covered part): accumulator/receiver dryer, orifice tube, oil and refrigerant.
- Front and Rear Suspension: Upper and lower control arms, control arm shafts and bearings or bushings, upper and lower ball joints, radius arm and bushings, torsion bars and mounts or bushings, stabilizer bar, links and bushings, struts, spindle and spindle support, wheel bearing, seals and gaskets. Variable dampening suspension: compressor, control module, actuator, solenoid, height sensor, mode selector switch, seals and gaskets.
- Enhanced Electrical: Automatic climate control programmer, electronic instrument cluster, mileage computer, distributor, ignition coil, electronic combination entry system (does not include transmitters and receivers for remote locks), cruise control module, transducer, servo and amplifier, powertrain control module, headlamp motors, power window motor, power seat motor, power mirror motor, power antenna motor/mast assembly, convertible top motor, power sunroof motor, power window switch, cruise control engagement switch, power seat switch, power mirror motor switch, rear defogger switch, power door lock actuator and switch.
Platinum Coverage:
Includes items in the Bronze, Silver and Gold Coverage and all parts except those listed under the What's Not Covered section below.
What's Not Covered:
The vehicle service contract does not provide coverage for the following:
- Vehicles that do not have valid manufactuer VINs, or are title branded as salvage, junk, rebuilt, totaled or flood damaged.
- Vehicles over 13,500 lbs. GVW.
- If any modifications have been made to your vehicle, or you are using or haved used your vehicle in a manner not recommended by the manufacturer, including but not limited to, the failure of any custom or add-on part, all frame or suspension modifications, lift kits, oversized or undersized tires, trailer hitches, emissions and/or exhaust systems modifications, or engine modifications.
- If your vehicle is used for towing a trailer or another vehicle or object unless your vehicle is equipped with a factory-installed or factory-authorized tow package.
- If your vehicle is used for commercial purposes including, but not limited to, rental, taxi, limousine or shuttle, commercial delivery, towing or road repair operations, construction, job site activities, commercial hauling, police, volunteer fire department, paramedics or emergency vehicle application, principally off-road use, racing or competitive driving, snow removal, route-work, service or repair.
- If your vehicles's odometer has ceased to operate and odometer repairs have not been made immediately, or the odometer has been altered in any way.
- For maintenance services and parts described in your vehicle's Owner's Manual including, but not limited to, alignments, wheel balancing, tune-ups, spark plugs, hoses (except steering and air conditioning), drive belts, brake pads, and brake linings or shoes, and wiper blades. Filters, lubricants, coolants, fluids and refrigerants will be covered only if replacement is required in connection with a covered breakdown.
- When the responsibility for the repair is covered by an insurance policy, or any warranty from the manufacturer, a repairer's guarantee/warranty, or in the event that a covered breakdown if the manufacturer has announced its responsibility through any means, including public recalls and factory service bulletins.
- For any liability for property damage, or for injury to or death of any person arising out of the operation, maintenance or use of your vehicle, whether or not related to the covered parts, or for loss of use, time, profit, inconvenience, or any other loss that results from a breakdown.
- For any breakdown occurring prior to the agreement purchase date, or if the information provided by you or the repair facility cannot be verified as accurate or is found to be deceptively inaccurate.
- For any breakdown resulting from collision, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, lightning, earthquake, freezing, rust or corrosion, windstorm, hail, water or flood, damage from exposure to weather conditions, salt, environmental damage, contamination of fluids, fuels, coolants or lubricants.
- For any breakdown caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, lack of normal maintenance required by the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, or improper servicing by you after the effective date of this agreement.
- For breakdowns that occur and/or repairs made outside the United State of American and Canada.
- For any repair or replacement of any covered part if a breakdown has not occurred or if the wear on that part has not exceeded the field tolerances allowed by the manufacturer.
- For any of the following parts: carburetor, battery, shock absorbers, standard transmission clutch assembly, friction clutch disc and pressure plate, throw out bearing, manual or hydrolic linkages, distributor cap and rotor, safety restraint systems (including air bags), glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, brake rotors and drums, exhaust and emission systems, weather stripping, trim, moldings, bright metal, chrome, upholstery and carpet, paint, outside ornamentation, bumpers, body sheet metal and panels, tires (except as may otherwise by provided for in the coverage section), wheels or rims, nuts, bolts, and fasteners.
- For tire service coverage, the following exclusions also apply: tire damage incurred outside the United States of America or Canada, tire damage resulting from off-road use, racing, collision with curb or another vehicle, misuse, abuse, lack of proper maintenance, misalignment, suspension problems, vandalism, fire, upset, manufacturer defects and driving on tires which are deflated or improperly inflated, tires which are undersized or oversized, tires transferred from another vehicle, tires which do not have at least a 3/32 inch tread depth remaining, damage to tires that do not affect the performance or safety and tires not retained by you.
- For WRAP coverage only, the following parts are excluded: engine, transmission, transfer case and drive axle.
Included Benefits:
The following additional benefits are included with your purchase of a Vehicle Service Contract:
- Rental Reimbursement: In the event of a covered breakdown, the administrator will pay or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a replacement vehicle (from a licensed rental agency) or for alternate public transportation while your vehicle is at a licensed repair facility. Coverage will be provided up to a maximum of fifty dollars ($50) per day and a maximum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) for each repair visit.
- Emergency Road Service: 24-hour emergency road service is provided when your vehicle is disabled as long as the Vehicle Service Contract is in effect by calling a toll-free number and includes the following:
- Mechanical First Aid: Any service requiring a minor adjustment (exclusive of parts) to enable a disabled vehicle to proceed under its own power.
- Tire Service: Changing an inflated spare.
- Battery Service: Attempting to start a vehicle with a booster battery.
- Delivery Service: Delivery of emergency supplies of gasoline, oil or water and other accessories and supplies as may be required and available. Any materials that are delivered will be paid for by the customer.
- Towing Service: When your vehicle is disabled, it will be hooked up and towed up to twenty-five (25) miles to a destination of your choice by an authorized towing service. Total maximum benefit is one hundred dollars ($100).
- Locksmith Service: If keys are locked inside your vehicle, a locksmith will be dispatched for service.
- Tire Service: In the event your vehicle's tire incurs damage from a road hazard, the administrator will pay for receipted expenses for tire repair up to a maximum of twenty dollars ($20) or tire replacement up to one hundred dollars ($100). Maximum aggregate is five hundred dollars ($500) per contract period.
- Trip Interruption: In the event a covered breakdown occurs more than one hundred (100) miles from your home and results in a repair facility keeping your vehicle overnight, the administrator will reimburse you for receipted motel and restaurant expenses, up to seventy-five dollars ($75) per day for a maximum of three (3) days with a total benefit per occurrence of two hundred twenty-five dollars ($225).
Other Information:
- You may take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility for service.
- You must have your vehicle checked and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations based on your individual driving habits and climate conditions as outlined in the Owner's Manaul.
- The administrator's obligations under the Vehicle Service Contract are back by insurance. If a covered claim is not paid within sixty (60) days after proof of loss has been filed, you may file a claim directly with the insurance company.
- Liability for any one repair visit shall in no event exceed the actual cash value of your vehicle before the breakdown as determined by standard industry guides at the time of the repair visit.
- The total of all coverages and benefits paid or payable under the Vehicle Service Contract shall not exceed the price you paid for your vehicle.
- Liability for incidental and consequential damages stated in the Vehicle Service Contract is expressly excluded. However, this exclusion may not apply in some states that do not allow this exclusion. See the Vehicle Service Contract for more details.
